English as a Foreign Language

Stone of Help endeavors to provide an atmosphere where children and youth may realize and develop their God-given gifts and abilities. Our vision is to see God’s children reach their full potential and become a positive asset in the communities where they reside. After several announcements at the Sunday service, over 20 teenagers and young adults signed up to attend our English as a Foreign Language (EFL) classes!

These classes are held weekly in the Stone of Help supported church in Ganthier, Haiti. The classes actually serve two important purposes. First is to provide economic opportunity through the use of English. Secondly, it brings community members together around the church where they can hear the Good News of Jesus Christ.

You can see the children and young adults practicing their new English skills. We are also reaching out to Ganthier and the surrounding communities with literacy classes in their native Haitian Creole language, as well as three midweek Bible studies.

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of our faithful partners in fulfilling God’s mission and visions to the land and people of Haiti. Your contributions are indeed making a positive impact on the lives and communities we serve in His Name.
