Women from the Port au Prince area churches whom Stone of Help Haiti serves, assembled for a week-long time of retreat on our home church grounds in Ganthier.
This spiritual conference was well represented as over one-hundred faithful was able to attend. A team of ten Haitian missionaries to the Dominican Republic were also in attendance for the duration.
The conference theme was taken from the book of Obadiah 15, “For the day of the Lord upon all nations is near.”
Marcella was given the honor to be among the special speakers and her message was well received. Two full services were held daily as well as Bible studies.
These godly women also reached out to the surrounding communities and eight people were reported to have given their life over to Christ. The women also led an effort in neighborhood clean-up.
This blessed week was capped of with Baptism and a hearty provision of food for patients in a local hospital.
January also welcomed a week-long youth conference at our church in Sanite, Les Cayes.
Remember, this was the place that was completely destroyed by Hurricane Matthew in October of 2016.
Emergency contributions to Stone of Help Haiti provided the means for the Haitian community to rally together and complete a new and greater facility in this remote mountain region. In addition, a primary school was put in place just in time for this current school year.
Praise God, the church of Sanite is now reaching more folks in Jesus’ Name than ever before. What a testimony of tragedy to triumph all due to your caring spirit and financial support in coming alongside our brothers and sisters in their most desperate time of need.
Your ongoing prayers and financial support through Stone of Help Haiti is truly bring hope to this less-traveled area.
